All but a couple of these are apparent with close inspection on petrified brain. The ones that are not apparent have signs of obvious deterioration due to handling when in soft form
The Gyrus orbitalis and gyrus frontalis on the left hemisphere have been distorted due tohandling, in that they were seperated slightly and filled in partially with a portion of the gyrus centralis. This area had been totally displaced due to injury and moved to gap where gyrus orbitalis and gyrus frontalis came closer together and curvature resulted.

Compression bottom
compression occipital as can be seen much better in the
x-rays
It is impossible to get a clear understanding of the features of this specimen from this angle, in a photograph, but this does help to give better clarity as to positioning of the compression during excisement.
